Brian Powell, talent operations partner at Insight Partners, a global venture capital and private equity firm, said 40% of the hiring within Insight's job portfolio is focused on engineering, with most of those positions related to AI and machine learning.
Powell also said, “Non-tech jobs Phone Number List related to AI-related technologies are also increasing. Most in demand are engineers with skills and experience in prompt engineering, machine learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, data science, and API implementation. “These are technologies that are at the forefront of AI product development at top technology companies around the world.”
Powell predicted that the recent interest in AI will lead to a surge in demand for engineers with related skills in the future. However, he added that in the long term, if AI becomes popular, even employees doing routine work should be able to utilize AI tools to maintain competitiveness and efficiency.
“As AI technology evolves, the demand for individual professionals with skills and skills like Prompt Engineering for the LLM will continue to grow,” Powell said. As AI models become more complex, these skills will become more important and users will need to adapt their skills to new architectures, algorithms, and frameworks. “Continuing to learn the latest technology trends will be essential not only for advanced AI users but also for regular employees.”
Powell said the best way to attract and retain AI talent, especially as many companies and positions are remote-first or hybrid, is to prioritize work-life balance. “Encourage opportunities for growth and learning, and be inclusive and positive.” A transparent corporate culture must be established and autonomy, innovation, and influence must be encouraged. “Support career progression and leadership opportunities for great employees.”
