We had the opportunity to meet Cyrus Shepard during the Marketing Festival in Prague. We have also been following his online activities for years - from Moz to guest articles on leading marketing portals. Cyrus Shepard is one of those people who charmed us not only with his knowledge and experience, but also with his style and attitude towards his surroundings. We had the opportunity to ask Cyrus about his approach to SEO, and the result is this interview. Enjoy reading. [ English version below ] Cyrus Shepard - visible Czarek and Artur with Cyrus Shepard, Marketing Festival, Prague, 2017. Cyrus also loves sharing his SEO knowledge Visible: I was excited to interview you when I read Zyppy.com's mission statement. The first rule of your mission is to teach about positioning. This is also one of our goals, so we agree in this area. However, some people claim that once a case study is published, it means it no longer works. Do you agree with this?
Cyrus Shepard: There are many types of case studies. Some WhatsApp Number List less, some more effective. A case study that is based on black hat tricks and tactics quickly catches the eye of Google employees, so it loses its effectiveness over time. On the other hand, case studies that show how to wisely implement good practices (and more) are always a good idea. In fact, I think we need a lot more case studies in the SEO industry. Agencies that share techniques and ways of working that are unknown to others usually gain a lot of links and attention. And the fear that someone will steal this knowledge is not unjustified, but it defeats the vision of a new business. Keywords are still important in SEO In the 2019 season of predictions and trends, you published 10 SEO success factors. Can we discuss them? Let's start with the first four.
Some people say that keywords are not that important anymore. Heresy? Yes, this is heresy! This is not true either in theory or in practice. It's true that Google has made a lot of progress in recent years when it comes to understanding synonyms, variations, and user intent. RankBrain, for example, can help understand a user's query and match it to other phrases. This means that the specific keywords for which we optimize the page are probably less important than the user intentions we take into account when optimizing. On the other hand, keyword search itself is of great value - it helps you understand how users search for your website and many different phrases. Even if Google understands that "red cat breed" and "red tabby" are the same thing, you still need to be knowledgeable about how people use these phrases to be able to optimize your site. cyrus shepard visible 2017 Cyrus Shepard is also a fantastic announcer.
